1960's Pickerings Lift without inner doors at a Hotel in Newcastle

Probably a Pickerings, or maybe a 60's generic.
Was very surprised to find this lift, as I thought Health and Safety rules meant car doors had to be added. Nevertheless, a great lift but I think the motor might have been modified.
