Very special 1960 Triumph TR3A, given to Jeannie Schulz, the wife of cartoon legend Charles M. Schulz, creator of Peanuts by her mother-in-law in the mid-1960s. The Shultz's used it sparingly before selling it to their neighbor in 1971. This remarkably low mileage Sebring White TR3 has traveled just 48,885 over its 64 years and has remained mostly original over the years.
The cockpit is mostly original and remarkably well-preserved including cards, door panels, instrumentation, etc. The top and carpeting side curtains were replaced in the late 1980's. It's very comfortable and shows well.
It recently came out of 10+ years of storage and we have serviced and made it road ready again. This special example has spent much time at events at the Charles M Schultz Museum in Santa Rosa and other local gatherings in the area over its life. The short owner's list and low mileage make it an unusual find.
The 1,991cc inline-4 starts right up and runs strong with excellent oil pressure and compression across the board. The 4-speed manual shifts smoothly through the gears and the brakes were just replaced. In the process of getting it road-ready, we reCEntly replaced the water pump, hoses, wiper blades, fluids, and other ancillary items as needed. The car is performing nicely and is wonderful to drive.
The exterior shows well. It was repainted in 1986 in its original color. It has a nice shine, is very straight, and presents well.

I had a mate who owned a bug eye Trump, and he loved it; even using it for work, driving it for long distances every day. The door handles appear redundant to me, unless your an orangutan, as anyone with a bad back would injure themselves trying to reach so low.
