Did you know that Elizabeth Taylor started that movie did she was the main star in the movie Cleopatra she played us Cleopatra and that's what they said that's where the cat I started but I think they also had that kind of look in the fifties though but I remember they said that after Cleopatra that's why that look came from

In that era we were all taking our makeup tips from the Beatles girlfriends. Patti Boyd and Jane Asher. Also Jeannie Shrimpton who was a model. At the outer edges of the eyes we put eyeliner that went down but it did not go up like cat eyes. Just a little line at the outer edges going down. Chers lipstick my mother used to buy me all the time when I ran out. I forget the name of it but it was not pink. it was almost white. All these tips were in 16 magazine . The eyeshadow we wore was white. Never blue.And peachy blush. Dewy looking. We wore Oh De London perfume and Tabu. And also Heaven Scent. And we painted tiny little lashes on our bottom lid.

I remember the girl across the street when she was ready for a date. I was still little. In the Summer the girls all smelled of Coppertone from sunbathing. And those white frosty lips.

My goodness, what a beautiful application! I also love this camera angle. I think it’s really an intimate thing to see someone put on their makeup, as everyone does it differently, and all their personal habits (such as opening the mouth during mascara application) pop out. Also, no two women I’ve ever seen have had the same products/brushes/techniques so part of the appeal in knowing what products our favorite celebrities used is a way to “know” them.

I just love your channel! I think this eye look is very "ancient Egyptian." Back in the '70's when Cher was on TV a lot everyone used to tell me I looked like her, and of course I played it up as much as possible! 😁 I like her '70's look the best as I thought the '60s was just too overdone. She is still beautiful, although I strongly dislike the puffed-up lips that so many women get nowadays..
