I am so glad I found the Lekala website where they have patterns that you can customize to your unique body shape! (not to mention this totoally has a retro vibe going on)

❤The dress may have been shorter than you wanted it to be, but I am glad it was because I love the white stripe you added, which looks intentional. It's sew pretty! 😊

I have made a couple of items from Lekala and have downloaded several patterns. Like you I found the last one to be about 5 inches too short, but I added the extra to my pattern before cutting out. I added the extra about halfway down the skirt as there was an kick pleat in the skirt and I didn't want to alter that. With regard to the adding of turnings, I was able to add them on and they have subsequently been added to every pattern I have downloaded, as this information is saved along with your measurements. Each of my A4 printed pieces of pattern WAS marked and therefore it was very easy for me to attach the pieces together. I found that the fit was very good. Your measurements can be saved and edited if you alter in size and you can add bicep size which I found useful. There are other adjustments which I didn't use, but I think it is a question of time getting used to it. It is a massive website and you can design your own garments from templates. I would recommend it. Finally, I should say that I think you need to have some sewing experience as the instructions are a little scant.
