Great job Chris . Top builder who does a job properly. One of the best on KZbin it’s a pity you don’t post your work more often 👍

Thanks again Chris for another VERY informative video. It was good to have explained the small tubes between the RSJs. And the explanation behind all the problems those floors threw up. I guess this is the issue with the older properties and I'm glad you explained the reason why you've put the cavity trays where the roof meets the house, I didn't realise you didn't need to put them where the windows are👍🧱

Looks a good job . I’d be wondering if those damp trays they had you put in are a bit of a palaver Chris.

@@brickbybric They are but didn’t take long to be fair, very sandy joints so the bricks came out easier than I anticipated. Also the distance wasn’t too wide.👍

I get box section welded on vertically, size to match the cavity width, the steel supplier clamps and drills them all up before delivery. Make a jig from fascia offcuts to get fixings spaced consistently. Pre-drill to reduce chance of losing the cap off the polytops... we've all done them 😂.

Hi Chris, I have same big step down from added on extension on back door, need to build same kind of step as you have done. Should I run a dpc between step and existing brickwork as the built up step will come above existing dpc. Thanks brilliant channel and workmanship top notch.

This is exactly what I would like to do on a house that I’m thinking of putting an offer on. I know it’s a hard thing to do but would you be able to give me a rough idea how much this would cost? Sorry if this causes any offence.
@foundationgood12311 сағат бұрын
@@ianfillingham2438 initial estimate £13,500 but they asked for more work to be done and that pushed up the price but it was a bit of a wrangle at the end..I didn’t get all the money back but that’s the trade! It nearly doubled in price!!
@ianfillingham243810 сағат бұрын
Thanks so much for letting me know. It’s difficult to know how much to offer when you know that you want to do some work on it but don’t want to put an insulting offer forward.
