That's one you save ! My Uncle had one that was a 348 his son bought a 62 327. So in 62 they swapped motors. So Uncle had a 61 327 bubble top in green teal. Many asked him if he would want to sell it . He didn't until just before he passed in the 90s

I had a 61 Impala 2 Door Hardtop in 1975 that I brought for $150.00. In 1960 thru 1964, my Dad was the Service Manager at the local Chevrolet Dealership. 1961 "2 Door Hardtop" was the ONLY Model with "BUBBLE TOP", which the Roof was referred to decades later. In September 1961 Chevrolet Dealerships recieved a "Bulletin" staying the "BUBBLE TOP" would no longer be available in the Impala 2 Door Hardtop Lineup for 1962. For 1962 GM applied the term for the 2 Door Hardtop as a "Formal Roof", taking on the appearance of a (Metal) Convertible Look. The later, term of BUBBLE TOP would be installed on ONLY the Model Lineup of the "Bel Air" 2 Door Hardtop, which are now very rare. You need have been in the Chevrolet (GM) environment of the time ;>)... As a friend, the *Trifiveguy
