Tragedy, possibly one of the fastest drivers in history, Trevor Taylor lost his chance and nerve as the result of this idiocy by French officials and sub military at end of the Rouen GP. After the spa crash it was too much for Taylor and he did not recover form until the European Shellsport F5000 championship of 1969.
