People associate the hogs (mahogany) with being great strummers, but i can tell you without a doubt, these sound amazing picked. You wont get the full brightness of a rosewood back, but its a more balanced midrange. These gits do really fun chicken pickin. its not just for teles you know..

I recently acquired a vintage Country Western with a black three pointed pickguard. All pictures I can find online of Country Westerns have a tortoise pickguard. Does anyone know when a black pickguard was offered as an option? Thanks!
