Seeing this brought back nightmares lol.. I did a 63 triple black.. man after all that blocking and buffing it’s so rewarding. Awesome job sir.

Recently did a GMC black and broke it into sections based on the body lines/breaks. Worked out well and made the job more manageable for me.

Your paint technique is impeccable. You paint like a robot. Info for you. I found out that you can use lemon extract on your glasses and it does clean paint off your glasses. Today I was painting red and when I sprayed the lemon extract on my lenses it bubbled off. Good luck.

Fantastic finish on the roof Pharraway very nice deep glassy finish, I do a fair bit of flow coating so it will be interesting to see how you do it and hopefully I can pick up some tips to improve what I do👏🙏👍John UK.

If you plan on cutting and buffing a car in the end is there any reason to flow coat? Also if you don't is 4 or 5 coats of clear a good enough amount to have on the car for when you cut and buff later? Should you put anymore if you plan on having the car for a long time and will need to cut the clear down with compound and buff/polish it continuously over the years?
@PHARRAWAY2 жыл бұрын

Love yours videos...what brand of tack rag do you use?
Question: If you get dust etc. in the first go at painting (like you did here) how does flow coating help? Don't you just get dust in the flow coat? I can understand if you have orange peel etc sanding and flow coating with a thin layer of clear would help flatten it, But flow coating to remove dust etc seems to be and endless loop if you have a dust problem - No?
@bear_vibes51302 жыл бұрын
The clear will absorb the overspray. Same chemicals. Clear takes longer to dry. So using a tack rag will ruin your finish.
