A common thread in many of these stories is tragedy or loss. I wonder if the designers of the iconic vehicles we all love in Lowriding ever thought along with the look and features of the cars they wanted to create their cars would also become the "vehicles" so many of us use to take us away from the hurts and loss.... and from there bring us into a life of victory over the negative parts of the lives we have had. Mr. Garcia thank you for turning the corner from street influence to lasting influence in academia. For some us, teachers end up being the lighthouse in the storm of life. A kind and timely word of encouragement can make a world of difference in a child's life. I know it did for me. To Lowrider magazine: thank you for the videos. Keep them coming, and God Bless.

Man I love your 63', I had a 63' Imapla Convertible, but mine was sadly not a SS, I had rebuilt the 6cyl Blue Flame motor, it was a 90's Corvette Green and I had white leather inside, white top. Man I miss it. It got stolen and never found, like you my 63' was inspired by the 93' cinco de mayo issue of Lowrider mag., actualy I have the first may it was in, Orlies Lowriding mag, they did a little feature about the guy who owns that Impalas car club Mafia IV Life. Definitely a beauty, and you clearly like me see it for a gem. I now roll a Aztech Gold 63' Pontiac Parisienne(Canadian built Catalina) on cusomt 14x7 zeniths chrome rim gold 2 dual knock-offs gold center hub white powder coated spokes and Aztech Gold nipples painted to match the car white leather with gold & black center cloths insertes. Not done but will be. I'm building a 89' Toyota sr5 pickup mini truck with bed dancing so time is split between both.

ABSOLUTELY BADDA$$ Impala!! MY DREAM CAR ❤️❤️I begged my dad when I was 16 to buy his friend's 64 convertible SS for $5,000 but told me females don't drive that particular car and I was devastated to say the least!!! I live in Albuquerque NM where at the time car jacking was high...so when I see Impalas which Albuquerque has some WICKED lowriders, I ALWAYS remember I could have had my dream car. I ended up with an 86 Chevy Monte Carlo which was BEAUTIFUL ❤️

I hate to put negative comments outhere but I feel I need to say it. "Growing up I never had teachers that look like me." Your own parents are educators with college degrees. Theres a bit of us who trully did not have teachera who looked liked us nor our parents bought us an Impala at 12 yrs. Or even have parents for that matter. Sorry for sounding so negative. Just know that you have had so many more advantages than a lot of people. My mother doesnt even know where the local college is..let alone drop me off.
@highpowerx45545 жыл бұрын
Automotive anatomy.... you're absolutely right.. a lot of us didn't go to school with teachers that look like us or had parents who were Educators or with a college degree ..but man if you still want to go to college or you have a goal in life make that a motivation for you.. sorry to say but it kinda sounds like you want people to feel sorry for you... hope I'm wrong but good luck with your goals in life .. stay positive!👍
@AutomotiveAnatomy5 жыл бұрын
@@highpowerx4554 thank you for responding. It is not that I am trying to make people feel bad for me. I just needed to point out that he had a huge advantage. It sounds like his parents gave him everything and he acted like a knuckle head. I remember having friends who had material and family support and still wanted to hang out with kids from the barrio. I know is his story and I commend him for it and the amazing car he has but if he goes and tells his story the same way all the time I feel like that is a slap to the face to his parents and to those of us who truly had more challenges. Not one of my fav episoddes but nevertheless is his story.
@thefreshprince265 жыл бұрын
Automotive Anatomy a struggle is a struggle man. All we can do is run our own race. Do not worry about the next person running their race unless you plan on helping them. Someone out there does not even have a parent who does not know where the local college is so compared to them you are the privileged one. Do you get what I’m trying to say? Not trying to preach or make you feel bad for commenting, but everything is based on perspective. Good luck on your race I hope you win.
