Radiator looks correct.... it's the wrong thermostat housing. The correct housing may not work because of where the alternator is. You can use a later 60's radiator with the inlet on the other side, of get the correct alternator bracket for a 63.... it mounts to the left exhaust manifold. Just look at some engine compartment photo of cars of that era. Sounds good. Enjoyed!

Hey guys, well done. Please don't lift that car on a two-post lift by the floors or rocker panels. If you do, the entire chassis and drive train are being suspended by 10 bolts, 6 of which are in the back, 2 at the firewall and 2 at the radiator support. If it has rusted rear body mounts like most of our Wisconsin cars do, that's asking a lot of the mounts that are left in front. I don't have a two-post lift but I've read that these x-frame cars need extensions for a typical two-post lift to reach the frame. Keep up the good work.

59 thru 64 rads filled in center of top tank, inlet bottom right, return top left. X frame uses 2 piece driveshaft. When changing from powerglide to th350, the front shaft must be shortened. If the existing rearend is good, and it is from a V8 car, I'd leave it in because it's a mutha on a rusty swingarm system to modify. So, get motor and trans set where you want it, then measure for what driveshaft you need. But IF it was originally a 6 cyl 3 speed, that rearend gearing will not only be weak but too low geared. Is that a power steering and brake car? If not it probably began life as a 6pop 3 on the tree.

I’m 55, and there’s nothing better then a manual, especially In this car!!! Oh well, it’s their decision and l will respect that but it hurts my heart bad and is sad!!! There is a huge number of us older hot rodders around yet that are looking for the manual transmission and can afford it But hey guys, you do what you want and what you think is best for your business guys but I’m just really surprised by this decision but it’s all Gouda. It's no doubt a 300 horse 327 small block Chevy early 60s and it's just a little bit out of time and your gauges go under the dash not under the hood or on it turn your coil Mount the other way so your coil points toward the firewall not the carburetor buy a water neck that spits out the front instead of the side I believe the timing is like 160 or 180 out half a turn on the distributor redo your timing that's why it's shooting a flame out not just because it's a dragon wagon

TIMMMIIINNNGGG. Not starter. Wasted money by being ignorant, not stupid, about the engine you are working on. When you experience dragging like you had, I most cases it is timing. Go back and check compression on no 1 , check rotor position, install cap, make very small movements to distributor while cranking. Don’t burn a starter up. I like your format and you definitely teach what not to do. One thing I didn’t see was priming the oil pump prior to starting this engine that had who knows what in it. Maybe I missed that and an oil change.
