If it's a granny low dont use it for regular driving. Can you tell me how many leaves are in the spring pack front and rear? I'd really appreciate it.

I agree, in the late 60's my dad taught me to use low gear off road or when pulling stumps, only when needed. On the street you always started out in second gear on a granny tranny.

cause thats probably the np435 close ratio where 1st is synchro and 4.56 not the 6.68 non synchro creeper

What was that triangular badge/emblem on the front fender?? Had same type on my 61' Dodge Power Wagon Crew Cab W200 Sweptline but, never knew what it was. Just the holes are there telling me something triangle shaped was mounted on both sides of the truck. Mine was on a 122" wheelbase so the rear fender went into the rear of the bed. I see on yours the gas tank has been taken out of the cab and put underneath the bed. Your truck looks AND sounds good!! I kept the NP 420 Trans and just started in 2nd. I had the Poly 318 with dual exhaust and she'd cruise the highway at 75 mph all day long. Gas mileage at that speed was about 17 mpg. Always meant to put an Overdrive on 'er. Great video, thanks for putting it up!!

Dodge did have triangular designed emblems but those marks were from decals from BLM or something from its days as a brush truck.

Yes, those are 17.5 Budd rims with medium duty truck tires. I was looking for 19.5's but found these in a junk yard.

I was the kid that bought this. I somehow lost the write up of what you did to the truck. Motor, rear axle, cams etc. you wouldn’t happen to have it and can copy and paste it to me somehow?

Hey there. I dont have the write up any more. Any specific questions you have? It had a 1967 318, mild Mopar cam, dana 60 rear. Are you selling?

+Kyle Parker Most of these trucks didn't, thankfully the ratios were usually huge so the steering was light when you got going.

Yes, it's an LA 318 from an 1967 Power Wagon. It's been sold an is now in the Boston area somewhere.

Mine originally came with a poly 318 but when I got it it had a 226 slant 6. I switched it for a '67 LA 318 and put swirl port heads on it from an '85 motor.

This V8 engine doesn't have the distinct-sounding gear reduction starter motor...I find that surprising!

+William O'Connell It's a 1967 NP 435. It had a NP 420 and this drove a little better and had a synced 1st gear so downshifts were easier.

Now that's when Dodge made REAL TRUCKS !!!! This is exactly what I want for my next pick up truck, a 1961 thru 1963 or 1964 Power Wagon with the 4 Speed, 4 door cab !!!!! No emissions BS to deal with, etc.
