Awesome old footage of the MFD! I was only 4 in 1963 but I remember those great old trucks and the overhead wire electric buses. I'm still in Milwaukee and fire apparatus has evolved a lot. Also noticed the 24 cent a gallon gas price on that sign!

I was born in 63’ in the polish section of Milwaukee, 9th and Mitchell street. I still remember those overhead wire electric buses, remember riding on them. And those cars with the cool headlights. THANK YOU for this POST

Very interesting film. I was born in 1964 so while I recognize a few landmarks, some of the streets could be anywhere and I can’t quite make them out. MFD certainly had many MACK and PIRSCH apparatus in the ‘60’s thru the ‘70’s. I don’t remember that ALF but saw pictures of it over the years when it served at E32. You only see those old rigs at musters now but a couple of MACK and PIRSCH rigs are on display at the Milwaukee Fire Historical Society museum on 16th and Oklahoma. Certainly worth a visit.
