My friends had a 63 blue 4 door i loved to drive as a teenager. It was stock but lowered on moon caps and white walls with dual exhaust. I loved to hear it crackle when i stepped on it. I later bought a 63 2 door white bonneville parked for years but it smoked like a chimney and i sold it back to the guy i got it from.

I bet it looked slick after it was lowered! Stay tuned, I'll have a 63 Bonneville 4 door on here soon

When I store my car for the winter I drain the gas and carb and pour a couple tablespoons of oil down each cylinder and bag the carb and tape a bag over the tailpipe. It's good for long-term storage also.

Great Show! I have a 60 Bonneville Convert, like yor blue one, mine was my Dads when new, I also have his 63 Grand Prix, with a 421, there in sharp original condition. So you can guess I'm a Pontiac man. I love your channel. Good luck!

Make sure the battery cables are reversed. That's anti theft and if when they burn it down if you can't have it nobody can.

Them old pontiacs back in the60s was really fast but if you ok ver wound them they would come apart at the seams i know this because im 74 years old and had them in the 60s and been a mechanic for over 55 years i remember going with my friend when he picked up a new 1969 GTO judge .i used to ride to work in a 1963 pontiac grand prix

Good luck with the channel. Love this sort of content. There is something special about getting old clunkers running again. Was the transmission in drive and it ran over your tool box? 😮

Thank you! And yes it was. The shifter indicator said park, but the linkage was disconnected on the transmission. I'll pay closer attention next time!

Would love to see how she runs with a bit more work, but totally understood about not wanting to put anything else into her after seeing that (lack of) frame. At least you'll know you have a good engine on your hands. Would be neat to know if that alternator is still charging!
@ChiefClassics10 ай бұрын
I might rebuild the carb and hook up a fuel system. The previous owner told me he has the keys so maybe I'll be able to test the alternator now!

That frame is worse than my 63 GP..LOL My frame rails behind the front wheels are just about as bad as this. I bought another frame from Frank's Pontiac Parts in Cali for it...but then bought another 63 GP. That car has good bones. The frame on that one is decent since it came from Idaho, but will change it out since the frame I bought is all done up. So if you need a frame...I have one from the Idaho car.

@ChiefClassics9 ай бұрын
Anyone can if they want to throw enough money and a frame at it. I could restore it if I felt like it, but this car in particular isn't worth the effort. There's no point in making it drive when over 60 percent of the frame rails are missing between the wheels
