This video shows how fast the US Navy was developing in the 50s and 60s - the Forrestal is still flying F-11 Tigers while presumably all the newer F-4s were going to the Kitty Hawks and the Enterprise.

The F-4 first deployed on _Enterprise_ in early 1962, but I’m not sure what order was followed after that. I suspect it would depend on when each CV cycled thru a maintenance availability to make provisions for operating the Phantom.
