In this episode of SHORT HAULS, Grayson and Womack take off to Alabama to purchase a 1963 Volkswagen Single cab.
Our fellow Rambler Connor came down, stripped the black paint to it's original yellow revealing some one of a kind OG logos; and decided to take it home.
Connor did some digging, and discovered a rad history on this Single cab and even located an old commercial that is embedded in the video; time stamped at [6:38].

SO is that POSTAL YELLOW original paint? if so that is pretty rare. not very many special order postal yellow SC in the world. or Busses for al that matters. or did they paint it yellow and logo it. didnt catch this before.

No it is a Turkis truck originally, we love postal yellow though.

What do you all use to strip paint? The single came out great!

Rustoleum branded laquer thinner in a spray bottle, and citrus stripper here and there. Citrus stripper could be too harsh. Laquer thinner with more patience / scrubbing did a better job without damaging the yellow!
