1964 Was The Year That Massey Ferguson Introduced The Red Giant Tractors. The 135, 150, 165, 175, And 180 Models Were Made In Coventry, England As Well As Detroit, Michigan. The Bigger Models (1080, 1100 And 1130) Were Also Made In The USA And Was Joined By The 1150 In 1968.

The MF 180 was a US Market machine only - it was never made at Banner Lane or Beauvais. It was effectively a Rowcrop version of the US built version of the MF 175 tractor, which would have been classed as a utility tractor in that market. The MF 180 tractor effectively aped the layout of the larger MF 1000 series, but was based on MF 100 Series Transaxle componentry, whereas the the MF 1000 Series were a clean sheet design, as far as their Transaxle design was concerned. The one component of note on the MF 180 tractor, is the Front Axle Casting Support, or Bolster. This was an early version of the same component as featured on the MF 1080 (both US & European Markets), MF 1085 (US Market only), and MF 592/595 tractors (UK/European Markets for the latter, European specific for the former). The only real difference in the early MF 180 Front Bolsters versus later variants, was the fact that at the rear face, early versions had machined Spacer Blocks, where the component met the front of the engine and sump, whereas later versions had longer rear face mating bosses cast in, as a now complete one piece affair

MF 1150 tractor was introduced in circa 1969/70, definitely not 1968.

Great video, on the opening clip it shows all the stand names and it's amazing to see that everyone was a BRITISH company, we used to make all our own agricultural machinery back in those days, were did they all go. Now it's all German for the good stuff, and Italian for the copied poorer quality. Who is to blame for this great industry decline totally. We were the best.

Hello Dear Sir👍~Yes, the British Madean incredible machine is breaking its peers. Every penny we give, it more than pays. Still the annual working hours are not deducting 800, ~their ex-factory performance, compared to the peer newcomers, is very superior, 1 gear is different. ~already the privileges are evident at the fair~Sela from Yes, the British Madean incredible machine is breaking its peers.
