1965 Airstream Renovation Timelapse

We spent part of our time during lock-down renovating this 1965 Airstream Land Yacht. It was a lot of work, and a lot of fun :) Enjoy!

I have to admit when I first saw you pulling that trailer onto the driveway I thought it was too far gone; however, through lots of work and perseverance you have shown what can be done with an Airstream that appears to be trash. I also love so many of the touches you put into the trailer. It goes to prove that you also don’t have to spend a tremendous amount of money to get something that is totally unique and very livable. FANTASTIC job!!!!

Different take on your AS,nice! I had a 64 overlander,26 ft 10 inch from bumper to middle of the ball. My 80 Caravelle was a shell when I got it; I understand the work involved in redoing it. Stay safe.

A Good Trick: If you want to take off RUST... Use Vinegar. I have "Flipped" 25 RVs or Travel Trailer and Old Houses... I love Vinegar.

Very nice! You bring back memories... We had a 1964 28 foot Airstream when I was a kid. Those windows do provide great ventilation. Wish we would of painted ours, polishing the aluminum every couple years was really a drag! lol
