Great video. I'm 65 and I feel your pain. I'm doing a frame off restomod on a 53 Chevy 3100. I love the 292 and you can send it my way. I'm building a 1000 HP 292 with a Ryan Falconer V-12 head 340I 220E (aircraft racing engine), 6-71 blower with 2 650 DP, Nos, 5 stage dry sump and Electromotive direct fire ignition, Billet crank, solid roller cam and rods by Crower. Wow! That's not my father's 292. The playoff the old Oldsmobile commercials. He'd love the 235 and the 292s. His father loved 292 so much he ordered it special and his 1965 camper special. He left it to me and his will and I would barely old enough to drive. Fortunately I just turned it over to my dad and he took care of for the next decades. The only reason I still have my grandfather's truck. If you don't have a KZbin channel you ought to put that on one as you build the engine. I'd subscribe just to see that. You know UPS running 292's in there package delivery vans for a very long time. Then they'd sell them down in Brazil and what have you the engines and put a new one I think about at 100,000 MI.

Yea Dave work smarter not harder. I’m going to be watching this series with lot of interest. I already have my 65 SB tore down planned on retro, but life sent major hurdles my way! Hurricanes, COVID, health issue’s. I’m now trying planning to get back on track and start assembling truck. I know I’m going to have a long list of Brothers parts and more likely questions for you. The part of my shop was destroyed that had some of small parts ie nuts bolts etc and then I’ve changed my mind a few times on the build! I completely get it the back thing. Learning how to walk and other things after surgery and physical therapy and so forth. That's been over a decade now. Never the same. But I'm envious you got two guys that can handle that pickup bed like it was nothing. There is a little bit of a struggle for my son and me to reset the body on that 70 C10 stepside short bed we're working on. I'm trying to handle my portion and trying to get him not to overdo it so he feels it later in life. That's my point young guys are invincible but they tend to end up like the old guys later in life. Save it back and save your back! We use multiple jacks blocks and engine lifts. I'm going to enjoy this build that you're doing already do.

Awesome tutorials! I will say the more square body stuff, the better. Most of us have those cause they're more affordable. Harder to buy a 60's truck that isn't just a rusty frame

I working on trying to get a 66 GMC 1500 . A co-worker of my wife, is wanting to clear the property that she inherited from her parents. The GMC was bought new by her grandpa. It was last tagged in 1994 out of California, but physical location is in Southern Oregon. Only down side is she has no title for it, I'm currently trying to figure out how to get it titled under my name . Very eager to get the truck and start working on it, but not happening until title issue is solved.

Chances are if you go to the CA or OR DMV they will issue a title for it after she gives you an affidavit of "Lost Title"

Need help I have a 1966 c10 5.3 swap. What lower and upper radiator hoses was you able to use thanks. Awesome c10 series.

We didn't even pay attention to the original application of the hoses we used, we simply bent up our coat hanger and found something similar at the local parts store. Find a parts store that will let you search their inventory and get yoir hands on stuff. Also keep in mind you may have to use two different hoses and splice them together to make it work.

Find a place on the frame thats easily identified and the same spot on your replacement horn then you'll have a spot to index from.
