Hi, I built the car. Mhpruitt on Fordfe.com. I really appreciate all the love. It was certainly an unusual and excessive build. I have built a few cars, but this was a personal "keeper " car. So no expense was spared. I had to give it up, incomplete in my opinion, but as shown here in 2010. It went to a t-bird collector who watched most of the original build. He passed and his degenerate son auctioned it and these folks obtained it etc. Nice video and the next owner reached out to me. It is, without a doubt the finest example of a custom 1965 bird ever built. I spent 100k plus 2500 of my own hours, not counting research and development, on this car. Absolutely zero after market parts of any kind. Half the the car is 1st of it's kind. I sold it for less than the paint cost (35k). Chrome was 10k. I polished all the stainless and installed the interior and Focal sound system. I built the dash and custom gauges and lazer lights. So, it's my bitch, and I miss her.

Yes, when we had it in primer with it stripped, I was having a few with the printer and decided to shave almost everything. The lines popped without all the advertising and earrings.

All 65’ had front disc brakes. This one doesn’t have air conditioning. A shame!

@@ericwashington1100 So, i hade to add a leaf that raised the rear to my disappointment. But, over time the little rake grew on me. The front tire profile was too low. I put 30k on that car and repaired the front rims several times. Id go 17x9 front and back with Nitto 555's. Great tires! Still the originals in that video. You Have To use a bigger sway bar in back or a 4 link. I did the sway bar but it still worked on the tires on the inside. The body flange touches. 4 link would have been better. Heavy sway bars, big sticky tires and a Really Good alignment, handled as good as my GT Mustang. True story

Sadly, being that starting in 1958 T-Bird represented luxury until the brand was ruined with the compact imposters, many of these, "luxury land yachts" were ordered without A/C's and while that may have been fine up in the cooler climes of the north, down south it's a travesty of justice.

Nice car, but technically it isn't a "big block" since it (I assume) is still a 390 - the standard T Bird motor. I was expecting a 428/429....or a manual trans.

The engine is an FE Big Block that was around forever. That includes 292 Cu in, 312 Cu in, 352 Cu in, 360 Cu in, 390 Cu in, and 428 Cu In displacements. They're all the same engine block. I think the 427 is in there as well. 429/460 is a different block. In this particular car, the only engine options were 390 and 428 cu in displacements.
