Great Truck, and Sweet Build! I like the fact he kept the drivetrain stock, Fe, NP435 and Dana 24 Tcase. and the builder is half right about the front fenders. Only the F-350 two wheel drive trucks,(and up) got the big opening fenders, Or if it was ordered with 16's 17.5's or 19.5's All 4x4 61-66 F-250's came with the big opening fenders. there wasn't a F-100 4x4 until 66 and those numbers are super low.

I had a 61 F250 4x4 and it came with the larger front wheel openings and had the factory brush guard. If I remember correctly it had 17.5" rims

I dont know what to think....you guys werent even born yet when these trucks were in production. I was 5 or 6 yrs old. John F Kennedy's assination was still fresh in the publics mind and I still remember how upset my mom was the day it happened. Is this just a flip for proffit scenario and jumping on the band wagon or legit appreciation for old school trucks and old school Americana? Anyway thanks for keeping with the era and not putting circus size wheels on this beauty 👍👍👍

Dad owned a 1966 F250 Camper Special two tone Cream over Wimbledon white. Came with Mustang bucket seats, factory trailer braking system, passenger side in the bed toolbox. Even though it was a F250 the real rating was a 1 ton. Eight lug split rim wheels.

I think I heard him say "small block". Small displacement maybe but I think all FE blocks were the same size with bore/stroke accounting for different displacements.
@WhiskeyDents2 жыл бұрын
Technically I believe it’s a wide block. They are not big blocks
@slick-px4pq2 жыл бұрын
There were 3 different blocks. Most common was the 352/360/390. The 427 came along because of nascar. The 428 came out for the big cars that needed more torque.

Georgeous truck, however: The open fenders are for the heavier duty trucks, and 4x4s. The f250s can have the open fenders as well. Easiest way to tell is to look at integrated steps in the rocker panel

Hey Solomon bro this is your best what the truck to date. at least for me because I lean towards old Ford trucks being original. or if not original how Ford would have built them. this truck is sort of similar to my 1951 Ford pickup. I guess it's because I believe that in many cases that the factory originals can't be improved opon. that's why old Ford trucks are so much better than anything that could be offered from any other manufacturer. oh I wish I could find a set of those military tires because I have 16.5 wheels. and some idiot decided that the production of 16.5 tires needed to be ended. making it virtually impossible to find tires to fit those wheels.

I could be wrong, but I believe the early Ford and Dodge crew cab pickups were coach built in Canada. Ford didn't start making their own crew cabs until the 1980's.
