Beautiful car. Are the front fog lamps factory? Don't think I've seen a 64-66 TBird with them before.

Looks like from that oil pressure gauge, that old 390 could use some newer style bearings too!

The 66s are much more modern than the 64/65s who still held 50s styling particularly the front.

FYI the top is not original because the vinyl seams are not on the edge where the roof drops down on the side. You are also missing the deluxe spinner hub caps. It is a very nice car however.

No cruise control either. Also, no leather -- leather came combined with reclining front passenger seat, which this car lacks. It's clearly a repaint. And the color doesn't look quite right, but that could be lighting. There's also a bit of black spray paint work under the hood that appears to be covering some surface rust. And there's an extraneous after-market radiator recovery tank.

@dancollins4425 the expansion tank was factory on all FE's in the Bird from 1961 to 1966.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!

I do not know where you heard all this, but I tried to check all those claims and couldn't find much at all. I'm German so reading this shocked me and I dug up whatever I could. The combustion car ban is only for registering/manufacturing new vehicles. It does not affect any vehicle made before 2035 as of this moment. There's only some legislation coming to make selling synthetic fuels at gas stations legal - no reduction in stations, no reduction in pump speed. About the spare parts, the only thing I could find is an upcoming law that will ban you from selling dysfunctional/unrepairable cars as used cars to others - aka "donor cars" would be affected, you wouldn't be able to sell those anymore. Though the actual target is the industry that ships and sells broken cars to other countries with less/no laws on vehicle safety. So don't worry, you'll still be able to get spare parts - you may just have to get the parts themselves instead of buying entire donor cars. Car washes aren't getting banned. Germany does have a law though that bans you from washing your car on your private property. You're required to go to a local car wash and do it there. We Germans love our cars and any vehicle designated as "historical" gets all sorts of exemptions anyways, so I don't see any major issues coming, except perhaps increased cost of ownership via rising gas prices.
