BINGO ! That white '66 Charger was never a NASCAR Charger, period. A real one, doors don't open, no door handles, windows didn't roll down and no vent windows either. Windshield wiper motor is a dead giveaway. No windshield wipers in NASCAR race cars back then.

Have to agree with Tony, if you sit in a SURVIVOR that means that when you touch anything inside, it is just like it was 50 years ago... original steering wheel, shifter knob and not new interior, new gauges, electronics. I would rather spend my time blending in paint rather than stripping/dipping which is not really available to home garage restorations.

Am I wrong, tell me...But I believe the '66 came with the fender top turn indicators, where the '67 did not. No doubt it's an original '66, that rear seat is difficult to reproduce and was different on the '67- but I do think those fender trims were replaced at some point.

In 67 they also got rid of the full length center console because people complained about having to get in the car on the side they entered. My 67 had a break in the console. I had the turn signals on the fenders too.
@billh2303 жыл бұрын
@@robbsclassics Yah, I remembered the full-length console was a '66 only thing. The one the shop had restored was a 383/auto, white w/ red leather, and the rare power windows option. Those luminescent gauges looked so cool, but working on them they were sooooooooo fragile.
@billh2303 жыл бұрын
To clarify, I think the red leather was customer specified, not original to the car. The customer was one of those dudes, he literally could have whatever he wanted.
