When you replace that ball joint make sure it actually stays in the wishbone. So many replacements just sit there, no knurl to retain them. Though some are too big as well. IF they are loose the car will steer like a supermarket trolley and they wallow out the hole too. Not ideal but a couple of small tacks with the welder resoves the issue. Dufor or genuine Holden were the good ones,,,, 40 years ago! Check the spring sits in the wishbone as well. Too many aftermarket ones do not,,squeak and squark and break. IF you want brakes use HQ-WB ones, Caliper on the front and you have to carve a small bit out of the crossmember or it fouls on lock. You have to change the nut that screws into the brake pipe as they are different thread. Booster?? They work ok without and you can keep the 13/16 rear wheel cyls without

I’ll tell you what that old girl is a hell of a lot tidier underneath than what she looks like from the top……. You’ve probably already aware of this product, but if you have to soak any rusty parts, there’s this stuff called EvapoRust and it’s very impressive from sparesbox or bunnings 40 bucks for 5 lites…… And it’s reusable
