With the bulkhead completed it is time to work on all these areas that we kept leaving for "when we flip the car to it's side" How do we do that though? With our wooden rotisserie of course. Let's build it.

That whole front firewall looks incredible given the state it was in. You are an object lesson in not getting scared and just breaking a problem down into small, achievable parts. Keep up these fantastic videos!

As a seven decade long California resident I say -- don't even think about moving to California. Reno, Nevada is close enough and the costs of living are much less. Thanks for the idea on making the rotisserie hinge mounts, being a carpenter I'd make them out of 4x4 wood. Your metal hinge mounts are great for reuse on any other Triumph. Also an old Carpenter's trick for layout is to use screws in the wood and stringlines to measure off of.

I was kidding about moving to California, but I am sure the cost of living here in Toronto area is higher than there.

I once borrowed a universal rotisserie from a guy I knew. It was a steel construction and bolted to the hubs of any car, and then you rolled it on the frame anchored on the hubs. There is no reason why the same principle could be adapted, so you load on the axle points. But what you did is probably better and less weight. I also saw a couple of rotisseries where they mounted on the bumper mounts front and back and then rotated that way. That was for a Mini, MG Midget and Vauxhall viva, all using same principle.

FYI Elin, Think twice about moving closer to Moss! Here in Cali we have the opposite problem.... Uncomfortably hot for work like welding during the summer months. Stay in your cooler climate! You can always add layers of clothing for cold weather. But you can only remove so many layers in hot weather, before they arrest you for indecent exposure! 😎 And, unless it's a convertible, here it's almost mandatory for a car to have AC six months of the year. You wouldn't enjoy driving that GT6 in our 105F (40C) mid-summer days! Your plywood "rotisseries" are brilliant! I had been putting off trying to weld something up from a couple engine stands... But yours is a much simpler and easier solution. P.S. Where you mentioned a concern, the 2x4 attached at the body mounts in the rear axle housing, maybe you could make a spacer out of 1" pipe and use a couple really long bolts, to have freer access to that area.

I am dealing with heat much better than cold :) Even here the summers are really hot and humid, I know the feeling. I still prefer summer :) I was kidding about moving, but visiting California is in my bucket list. Maybe a Triumph and a Miata roadtrip one day....

There is a conversion kit to make a millwakie tool into a small belt sander (what you call a finger sander) I have one and use it all the time with the princess auto belts all the time ,,,the big thing is you need to run the belts in the proper direction and at a slower speed is what I have found

Not sure how the top end of the rear wings will work on a Spitfire body. Maybe Chris's way will be easier ?!

That's great. I had to laugh when you first rolled it over, hearing all the stuff still inside shifting and sliding. I did the same thing when I first rolled mine over-thought I had it cleaned out. 😁 And yeah, that bracket is for the spare tire. I had to remove it and make a new one.

Fyi, Moss Motors in Goleta CA no longer takes walk in orders. Their showroom has been closed for awhile. Was there last month dropping my kid off at UCSB. I live near SF. Moss shipping takes longer and is more expensive than Rimmers in England. Not trying to knock Moss, but that is my experience.

Those wings were wobbling a bit when you were sliding the body around, so beware the screws may not be enough to hold it over the time you're working on it.

Hi Elin! I just started watching and subscribed yesterday. Do you know if this car was ever owned in Ohio? The reason I ask is I had one about 45 years ago and some of old repairs on yours look (sadly) like work I did on mine. For instance, I fiberglassed the driver side floor. I really liked what I have seen so far and I'm going to go back to the beginning and catch up.
