I can't believe you two went through all the trouble of popping the hood and didn't even bother to give us a quick peek at that Chrysler Industrial Motor! You need to take a Mulligan on this one and take the time to move that camera around a bit more so we can see the guts of that cat!

Agreed, also there are three levers in the cabin that we have no clue about! Wich is fine since we know how to find a particular tree in the woods! 😆

1 gear head to others, who wouldn't want to see the Chrysler industrial 318-1bl. But being that age I guess it was the 318 wide block either way if you have a truck channel you have to be showing the engine's

Also didn’t show us the actual operation of the vehicle. Just a quick shot of it driving from a distance.

I worked with Tucker in the 80's and actually designed the hydraulics on the Hydro-groomer with JIm. I consider Emment, Morris and Maralee as friends. They sell there machines all over the world. They are decent, hard working people with principles. The experience with Trucker has motivated my interest and dedication to Low Impact Tracked Vehicles and Iguana Amphibious Truck. Like the guy with Bonneville Power Co. who had a choice of snow machines said; If you want to get back home for dinner; "take the Tucker". Iguana

I’m surprised it works as well as it does with tracks that are 98% nothing there. No track pads or shoes at all 🤔.

How do you rack up the miles on one of them? It's really easy actually! These machines were made for work. It's not meant to be a toy! Their used at ski resorts, in oil/natural gas, telecommunications, and search & rescue. It's not hard to put some miles on when your working in places where this is really the only rig that can get you there.(and back)

Winter math is fun! 13000mi in 46yrs = 280-ish mi/yr. Peak snow season = 6mo/yr = 180-ish days. Daily vehicle use = 280/180 = 1.5mi. Winter math also helpful to figger out if you'll ever use snow gear enough to justify actually buying it.

Hardtop imagine the day will soon come that these type of machines are lost and forgotten. We gotta hold on to the past and what it has to teach us. I love these old toys

At 7:26 you can clearly see the rear drive shaft is not turning! You might want to check that out. We have a Snow Trac St4 here as it works better in our area where Tuckers are too tall.

The amount of fantastic innovation present in the early and middle of the 20th century are truly amazing. Is there any chance we can get a video of one of Legacy’s trucks doing a multi day trip up in the hills?

I love how in a list of nasty winter places Wyoming is first, I'm not sure my state is ahead of Alaska in that regard, but I suppose it is nice to be acknowledged.

Because of the gear reduction in the transfer case in Tuckers, you're supposed to divide the mileage by 2.4, at least for a 400 series of that area. Still..... 5,000 miles on 60yr old Tucker ain't bad.

Question, how do you put 13,000 miles on a Tucker? You work for AT&T, driving daily to mountain top microwave sites, every winter for 15 years. In reality it was more like 30,000 miles. Loved my old tucker, it was super reliable..
