Mine got broken too, but I didn't know where that spring and plate came from hahaha, so I just put the plate at the end of the pin and soldered it, it opens better than my other door handle, very smooth. Greetings from Mexico

@@KalleSWBeck I forgot how hard it is to get the inside handles off. One of them flew across my shop and is gone. I usually fix stuff with a sledge hammer or a torch. So this is testing my patience

Hey kellie, I've got a 96 Chevy G30 van, I have been locked in & out of van many times, I've been using a clamp to open the door and have another away the teeth so now I'm thinking I cud screw a hole in my original handle( don't know where) so I can get in & out. My locks get hung up on both driver & passenger doors. If you know anything to help me out here I would so be grateful.

Pop the door panel off and open it via the linkage I have a video on my channel on how to remove the door panel

@@KalleSWBeck Thanks for responding. I assumed the panel was blocked by the seat and such, but I will have a look. This poor truck. Also water is leaking onto the fuse box, I assume from the windshield.
