I first discovered ItstheChad when I was working on my trailer and he had a video about how to prevent theft. I used several of his tips but got a kick out of his humor. I now own a 1970 C10 truck and so have been watching more videos. I still get a kick out of his humor and his videos are helpful too.

Great video I’m going to try the brasso and steel wool. Bumper turned out really nice. Hi I have a question . What is the original rear bumper for my 1967 C20 long bed stepside?

I appreciate it! It could have a the chrome sport bumper or painted step. Many dealers installed their own versions as well. They look very similar to the fleet side bumper, but narrower.

I bought a hidden hitch setup for my 69 Chevy with the intention of replacing the heavy duty bumper with the chrome bumper, then my dad shows up & looks at my ever growing pile of parts that I won't be reusing & I told him about replacing the bumper & he said, 'You better use the old bumper, that cost me an extra $50 when I bought this truck!' Lol! He was joking, of course, but I've come up with a plan that will allow me to use the old bumper while still using the hidden hitch...but I haven't got that far yet, so I won't be revealing my plan until I get a video up, but I'll be using a heavy duty bumper on my hot rod...& for polishing chrome, if you've got the 0000 steel wool, you don't need the Brasso, or anything else, the steel wool will do the trick with a little water for lubrication, or even dry with nothing but elbow grease...either way will work without buying anything else...

Do the bolt holes all line up from a 67 to 72 bumper ? I am going to put a tow bar on my 68 GMC ,I need to make a bracket but I don't have the measurements of the bolt holes or the distance between the frame rails. I was going to take the bumper off ,then make an adapter for the tow bar to pull from using the original bolt holes .

Right? Looks like a bad cut down! Lol. That’s my cousins 1970. Sad to say it looks better now than it did when we brought it home! I do like your attention to detail!

Great Video but I would have had a Blanket underneath the Bumper - no scratches 🙃
