Very difficult to tell what was original on this car because the trim tag on the firewall was molested. Even back in 2012, it was easy and common to create fake trim tags to "prove" whatever option combo you wanted your 67 Camaro to represent. Looks like a nice car that was put together by someone who isn't really a Camaro guy (wrong hood emblem, wrong spoiler emblem, wrong glove box emblem, incomplete deluxe interior, weird exhaust tips, weird modern gauges in an otherwise period-correct car, etc.). Digging into any original parts (axles and such) could give some insight into what this car was born as. But who knows what was original ... for example, the guy boasts that those are original seat belts. They're not. In 1967, deluxe belts didn't have the GM emblem on the button ... they had the Fisher Body carriage emblem on them. Whatever those are weren't original to that car.

Hood ornament isn't from a 67. In 1967 it had "Chevrolet" in big letters and not "Camaro" because it was a new to their lineup. Also, what's with the emblem on the spoiler. Not stock and looks awful.

I also zoomed in on the cowl tag. Clearly cant read the cowl tag at all. Which is also suspicious.

I would lose the rubber mud flaps and fix the exhaust tips. Just my opinion

@walt zaremba, do you mean on the hood? If so, that was standard for the SS's & so many have clustered w/ a swap out for a cowled hood. Love your pic, BTW! Peace!

I think he means the ball looking vents on either side of the front dash. They were available in 67 as part of the deluxe interior, A/C, and maybe other options. However, in 67 only the ball was chrome. The chrome surrounding the ball was only introduced in 68 ... one of the many wrong parts on this Frankenstein of a build.

All SS Camaros in 1967 (at least) came with a 12 bolt. If that's an original axle, then it speaks to the car being a V6, which got the 10 bolt.

@@67L48 after looking at the car again the nose stripe is definitely in the wrong position it should be more towards the forward Edge not centered in the header panel like it is so that means the SSS were not original. And what's up with the 68 Camaro emblem above the glove box

@@SchwinnXchange There are lots of things wrong with this car. It was clearly done by a guy who isn't really a Camaro guy. The nose stripe, the hood emblem, the spoiler emblem, the fact that there's a spoiler at all (wasn't a factory option until 68), the glove box emblem, the chrome trim around the astro vent balls, and on and on. At one point, he remarks that the seat belts are original. They're not. Deluxe seatbelts in 67 had the Fisher Body carriage emblem on them, not the GM emblem. I'm fine with people building the car that they want. Only 602 67 Z28s were built, but there are 50,000 67s with Z28 hood stripes. Fine. Do what you want. But don't try to pass it off as original. This car is a Frankenstein rebuild. I'm sure it's a fine car that can be enjoyed ... but quit walking around remarking at all of the "options" that this car had.

There were some ss350 cars that came with an option 10 bolt rear diff. All bug blocks came with 12 bolt diff. Ss350 had the option.

@@brandonwoods9866 You're on glue. My first car was RS SS 350 I purchased in 1978. My second car is A RS SS 396 I still own both of them to this day I think I know what I'm talking about. I dare you to show me any publication That says the 10 Bolt was optional in a 67 super sport.
