Appears to be, yes. Definitely so if as original - see the 'Park-RNDL' shift quadrant. As a child I spent lots of time riding in a '68 BelAir with a 307 & Powerglide, and that's about how it behaved. Fair amount of slip in the torque converter. "Slip & Slide, Powerglide"
