It looks complicated, however these dissection steps are excellent. Taking my time was important. I made small hand labeled boxes, as I went deeper and deeper to disassemble, for screws etc. I'm a bit anal when it comes to any job, but for me, that eliminates loosing, misplacing or grabbing the wrong whatever. This method is so easy but so rewarding when it comes to reasembly. Thanks for this video it is dead-on.

I’m trying to figure out why I have no brake lights on my 65 corvette. I’ve replaced the fuse block all fuses new. Also replaced the turn signal switch. Taillights work turn signals work. Any ideas?

Look under the dash where the brake pedal goes up. There is a pressure switch that engages when you push the pedal. When you release the pedal it pushes the plunger in turning off the brake lights. My guess is that's bad.

if you have manual brakes there's also a spring for the switch

My ball bearings fell out when I slid the bearing housing off. Now I need new bearings. Do I buy the housing with the beating in it?
@beneddy75 Жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, I got a new bearing and placed it in the housing. Then I drilled and tapped a few sides to placed a set screw. The side of the bearing wall has a low spot the set screws hold to. Zip-corvette.com has the bearing for $23.

Please help! I am restoring a 1968 Corvette that has the same steering assembly. How do you actually *remove* the turn signal cancelling cam?? Does it just pull off/push on? Thanks!!
@beneddy753 жыл бұрын
It should just rest in there. No screws to remove. 68 might be a little different. Hope this helps.
