This stunning example was built in Fords San Jose factory in California on the 27th of February. Marina Ford in Venice, California, then retailed to Rose Siegel, who lived just off Santa Monica Boulevard, just a stones throw from the famous Santa Monica Pier. She must have looked great driving down Highway 1 in early 1967.
We tracked this fabulous Mustang down in 2016, living in a collection of muscle cars in Lake Havasu in Northern Arizona. The gentleman who owned the collection had decided to thin his muscle cars out as he could not look after them at his advancing age.
After we imported it in late 2016, the Mustang went to a local client who enjoyed the vehicle until 2021. We put a new 302 crate engine into the Mustang at 39,304 miles during his tenure. It now shows 43,432, so it only travelled 4,128 miles on its new crate engine. He then decided that the Mustang had to go due to a house move, so we were delighted to have the car back. We immediately delivered it to a client with a specific wish list, he wanted a mid metallic blue body. So he asked us to perform a bare metal respray. It was initially Arcadian blue in 1967, so we were delighted to return it to blue again. The interior was fully restored in its original blue some years prior, so the contrast is stunning now. The client also wanted a new 5 speed gearbox, so we fitted that in 2021. He also wanted three point front seat belts, rear lap belts, and a modern, retro-looking stereo with DAB DAB+ FM RDS USB Bluetooth hands-free & streaming aux in radio.
The Mustang has had very little use since his ownership, which is just over 1,100 miles, and it has lived continuously in a car cocoon in his garage. Hence, the reason for selling. Hopefully, you can see in the video and photographs that the Mustang is in outstanding condition throughout.
The Mustang also has fantastic specifications, including power steering, modern retro air conditioning, front disc brakes, electronic ignition, a large alloy radiator, American racing torque thrust wheels, and nearly new Bridgestone written tyres.
There is photographic evidence showing the back to metal respray we performed at our workshop. Please check this out in the videos on the body and undercarriage.
Will you be the next custodian of this Magnificent Mustang? lovingly known to us as New York City! For obvious reasons???
