I had a ‘69 GTO 421HO Ram Air IV, 4speed, Windsor Blue over Black with Black vinyl top. Tuned by Nunzi Romano “Mr Pontiac” of Nunzi’s Automotive in Brooklyn NY. Nunzi went on to write for Pure Pontiac magazine. He was the premier Pontiac tuner.

I'm here in RSA and owned a Pontiac GTO 1968 model if my memory still serve me well as it was in the 70's. It had rubber bumpers front and rear which were very tough and still remembers when the Pontiac got driven into the rear by someone that was driving a Peugeot 404 which was a tough car. To my amazement there was only a cut mark left on the bumper with visible damage done to othet vehicle. I'm not an expert on American v8's but like them more than any other late model vehicles. Why is there bumper material differences between models. Does the Pontiac Lemans have steel bumpers or how could one tell the difference between the models. Thank you

Had exact car. Same color too!! 428, black buckets!! Had a accident in the late 70s. Impossible to find that fender with gills.

@@stevensearer Yeah, actually the did make a 428, until 1969, in 1970 they went to the 455. Before the 428, it was the 421, I’ve owned them all.

My brother had one421+3 deuces I had a 55chevy. We had a demolition derby he hit me so hard. I rolled 3 times my car was totalled so I shot his car 28 times and still couldn't kill it cops kept stopping us it was funny as hell just kid stuff
