Time runs. The first race in years for this car. I painted the car by myself in the garage on Gibson St. Glen Ellen, CA.

Very nice ride, my preference is the 68 notchback, and I love the 340 engines. I had one built for my 57 D100. Speed Shop really messed it up, should of walked away when the guy behind the counter recommended I build a 350 chevy. Less than a 100 miles on the motor, an intake valve seized open, destroyed the pushrod and lifter. Tore the upper end down with my dad. The truck had no bottom end torque. Cam was installed 5` off. Since '85 no one touches my motor, other than brother or dad.

As far as I can see, no one gives a f**k if it is slower or not than the other cars there, me do not, either. Your car is damn good looking, for me, one of the best looking American muscles ever. It looks much more compact than others, and man, it looks mean and raw.

I had a stock 68 Barracuda Formula S,it ran consistant 14 flat at 100. After some mods,it ran 9.90 at 140,stock bottom end. My best race and much fun was a guy had a 70 Torino with a 429CJ. Our racing was always very close. Only our time slips told who won.

My friend Willie had a 70 DUster 340 4 spd with 3.91 gears.There was another guy who owned a 70 or 71 torino 428cj and willie would beat him most of the time...340`s run good...some better than others with the right person tuning them and a good driver!

I love barracudas. This guy is obviously running against things that are more modded. Not mention them fooking tires thing needs to be set up different. She don't look right without the front bumper either. She is beautiful though no doubt about that

19 lbs is the lowest to run street tires, car slicks 10-19 lbs

This guys a amateur also it sounded a lot quicker I thought that car would go low 11but not so I had a stock 383 bfg tires no slicks was a 67 Fs 383 stock exhaust and I was running hig 12 I had a fast back not the big Corvair that’s what the notchback reminds me of he should be going faster than that a 340 will go maybe he is new couldn’t find the water box

Those other guys have high compression and 4500rpm stalls. I now have those 29" slicks on the 74 with 5.13 and 3000 stall, it might do 12's with the iron heads, That red 68 is getting MT St Dot 26" cheaters and the 4.30's , it might do high 11's

my 71 duster 340 auto had 4.30`s and it really took off nice! 3200 stall and headers with distributor advanced and spring kit.5.0 shift arm.Jim Pace rebuilt the 727,put in a cheetah manual valve body and adjusted all the linkages...he is the man...he used to work on akron arlen vankes cars and before that was an engineer at Chrysler with hoover and the rest of the gang in the 60`s.

Made for Mopar Hughes cams I would try a HUG STL5054AS-8 @ .588-.600 it should wake the sleeping giant .

How do you figure? That was a great car. It ran against vehicles that were heavily modded.
