These were great cars. Starfire, Wildcat, and Bonneville (going backwards through the GM line). The thing is, even in the late 60s (early 70s?) you could get a Bonneville with a 4-speed. In the early Wildcat years, you could get that with a 4-speed too. Never could get one with manual on the Starfire - but it had "Super", right?

For me the Wildcat has always been one of GM's most beautiful cars. It takes the late 60s cliche styling cues which featured some of the prettiest cars GM ever made. Fast back (hard tops), coke bottle design, W shaped front/rear, dipping side line, expansive tail light, etc. 1968 was the last year of this style after which it looked more squared off and conventional.
