Hi. I have the same engine in my el camino. Would like to hear a little about what you have done to your engine. What a crunch shaft and intake. It sounds really good.
@nationhotrods3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yeah it’s basically the same as it came from Blueprint as I ordered the dressed long block motor already with the intake, distributor, and Holley 850. The exhaust is magnaflow but I have electric cut outs to really have it thumping.
I have an 02 shortbed standard cab silverado with a blown 4.3, planning on putting a blueprint crate motor in it, haven’t decided which one yet, looked at the 383 and 396, both seem like possibilities
@nationhotrods3 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either. May just come down to which one they can ship sooner to you with all these shortages going on.
@austingames18879 ай бұрын
Did you have the exhaust cut outs done locally? If so where at. I want to get that done on my 79 c10
@nationhotrods9 ай бұрын
I had them done when I was still in Idaho at Boise Muffler. Any shop you go to just tell them to add the y-pipe and my advice would be to take the electric cutouts (if you’re doing that as well) with you so they make sure they angle the Y cutout far enough so when you put on the electric cutout it doesn’t knock on your floorboard.

That's funny you mentioned the California thing. I lived in Boise in the early 90s when the migration had just started and they didn't care much for the Calis then. I rode with a guy that every time he saw a Cali tag he would give them al kinds of grief....lol.The cops would pull over a Cali driver in a heartbeat.

@@nationhotrods Yeah it was really nice back then. You could get a 2000sq.ft. ranch home for 80-84,000. Then the Cali money came in and everything jumped to 175-200. All within 1 year.
