1968 Cat D6C Dozer Working

I remember when these first came out in the mid 1960s. Auto shift and tilt blade we thought we died and went to heaven after running cable blades and the old hydraulics with the hand clutch and gear selector with a Johnson bar.

The 76A is a brute. Pound for pound more of a pushing monster than most modern tractors. Funny thing is, if a D6C was maintained even half heartedly since it was new, it is still a formidable dozer. 50 years later. The newest D6Ns will be scrapped and shredded and made into ingots before this old gal sees a torch if the owner keeps her maintained.

Are you all sure that's a 1962 model? ..... The reason I asked is because I started on the d6h and I believe it to have been a 62 model but now it was a straight shift.... Keep up the good work

@@AwesomeEarthmovers hahahaha....your kidding me and i read it several times....wow im getting old it was 48 years when the ole'man put me in the seat of that old D6H and said to me..... Do you see those guys digging that footer by hand my reply was yes And he said do you see what we're doing to which my reply was also yes...... And he said to me... you can learn this or you can learn it doesn't matter to me but you're going to learn Something..... My reply was I really like hydraulics (100% True Story, i was 8 years old) 👍🇺🇸
