Wow nice car but did you have any trouble with the chrome. Pens blurring when you sprayed clear paint over the top of it? Because I heard that was a problem
@RightOnReplicas4 жыл бұрын
JF, The only problem I've ever had spraying a clear coat over chrome foil or the chrome pen is that it does take a little bit of the shine away. Other than that it serves to keep the foil in place nicely! -Doug

I've noticed that Revell is up dated skill levels ,age , and now putting on build hours . Do you know why this is ? I have a 2011 69 Chevy nova Special edition it has skill level 2 age 10+ ,now on the 2017 issue it is a skill level 5 age 14 + and it shows 7 + hours to build. thanks ,and I enjoy your videos . Also what is a good temperature to paint ,my basement is around 65 ,or 70 degrees
@RightOnReplicas5 жыл бұрын
RW, Mostly the skill levels of children are higher because model building used to be part of our youth's culture. Parents and older siblings used to teach each other. Now they have to learn how on their own and from KZbin (RoR). That means it takes longer to learn and kids are thus older when they have the appropriate skills. Secondly, Revell USA adopted the skills range definitions of Revell Germany to standardize their corporate practices. Most paint is designed to be used at room temperature which is traditionally 72 decrees F. On the other hand, warming the paint and subject or using thinners and retardants can stretch that rane 20 degrees in both directions. Thanks ! -Doug
