The washer you installed inside with the chain idler is a crush washer that should go on the outside to seal it from leaking also reflected in the disassembly video, both my k0 and k1 engines are designed that way, you’re also missing the copper washer that goes behind the acorn nut

Clayton, I understand the valve timing should be set with piston at top dead centre or TDC which is the T line on the rotor, not F for fire which is used to set the ignition timing. It's worth double checking, I'm not here to criticise simply to offer help.

You missed the spring tensioner on the cam seal

When I try and put in my camshaft, it is ridiculously difficult, because the timing chain and timing gear do not fully lineup with the hole in the in the head. Is there anyway to loosen the timing chain so I can get the camshaft and easier. I tried tightening down the four nuts, but even then I couldn’t do it. Wondered if anyone could help
