I like your laid-back style. And your videography is very good. My dad was a GM guy. We had a 65 Delta 88 and a 67 Riviera. Wow! The Old was the first car I drove with a driver's license. Ultra high compression on the 65. I sure was spoiled! Keep up the really good work man.

Hi.. always a nice choice.. and great work.. i enjoy watching your videos.. thank you..

Enjoy watching the videos. Basically an "Average Joe's Garage". I'd recommend that you take the time and pull the engine yourself when you get the time. If it turns out to be a pump issue, that would be an easy fix and with a bit of work, you'd have a nice summer cruiser on the cheap.

The Olds Delmont. Ya rarely see this model. A convertible AC car even. I think you have a very rare car. And no, I.didn’t know that GM built a counter clockwise timing engine. Especially the 455 rocket? I guess we learn something new every day. If you haven’t already sold it, I would say that it’s worth the time to get the oil pump fixed. Thanks Dustin! Stay warm and God bless! 🙂

of course the 455 Olds will run...and run well....the Olds 455 was one of the very best of the best V8s ever made...i had a 1968 olds 98 2 door and a 4 door...both with the 455..also i had a 1971 Olds Custom Cruiser,a 1972 Delta 88 and a 1971 Toronado all with the 455....they are truely the best!

What a cool car! Pity you discovered that oil pressure issue. It should be a nice cruiser when the basics are taken care of, even if it's not a full restoration to mint condition🙂

That’s a cool ride. I’ve not seen one of those in a long time

Some engines will not build oil pressure without having the distributor or a distributor body in place to work as a seal. I'm not sure if Oldsmobile is like that or not but it might be.

When I was very young my parents had one just like that one. It was the same color and a convertible and I remember going everywhere in it in the late 70's.

Great video Dustin it’s good to see you working on a car and would like to see you get it driving when you have time . Ps. Ignore the haters - I would say the majority of us like what you’re doing . 👌🏻

'76 or so I borrowed one of these from my buddy who was a cook at Dunkin's to go to a midnight movie in OB. On the way back home I was looking to cross a busy street in a left turn at around 2am. I saw a little gap in traffic and I floored it. Three front yards and a little pee later I regained control of the car having missed ALL manner of parked car and lawn ornament. That dirty beat up old car was a sleeping rocket and I'd goosed her. I'll always remember that.

My first convertible in 1989 back in WI was a blue (mostly) 68 Olds Delmont 88 convertible with a 455 2 barrel carb, white vinyl interior, came with another sedan also with the 455. It had good floors, but some rust that had been filled with bondo by the previous owner. It ran great and was pretty fast.

Seeing how it a rust free convert, I would do the engine rebuild and go from there. I miss the days when I had converts.

Sweet ride, but need to pull that engine and pan and see what is up. You need four more hands and a second shop. Good luck on it.

Thank you for braving the cold and giving us content. I was just about to say you need to get a "Clicky Clacky" as @vicegripgarage would say, then you got one. I like the will-it-run content. Maybe you can do a collaboration with another creator like @junkyarddigs. I love the new upgrades to your equipment and look forward to new content. See you soon.

In case you didn't know or you did. But you should probably not keep power going to the coil so you don't burn it out

I still cannot figure out where you find the time to complete any of the projects you have as you keep adding to it lol. As for the car, sell it to someone who wants to restore it if you can.

Leather or naugahyde interior ? I can't imagine how many nauga skins it would take to complete that Olds interior.

you dont have to rebuild that engine...those are 300,000 mile engines...at 70,000 miles an Olds is just gettin broke in....its not junk Ford or Mopar whose life spans are drawing to a close at 70,000 miles !!!!!

I see that hat w/ the American flag your wearing w/ cleetus name going right thru it .. I’m not sure how I feel about .. I’m a patriot also been fight against tyrants in this country for 47 yrs. and you don’t see me trying to profit off of it . I see no problem if you put your name beside the American flag under or over it but thru it naw .. it’s we the people not cleetus the people. You just don’t F with the American flag 🇺🇸 for any reason in my opinion .
