I really enjoy your videos. I absolutely love the sound of this engine with the whirring noise. It almost sounds in some sense like a cat meowing! Lol!

Ha ha. Yeah it does. This car, once she gets going, really purrs just like a cat like you said. Thanks for watching.

+Delmont Industries LTD I especially like the video when you went to the car wash and then the engine got flooded. When you got it going, it sounded more like an angry lion! lmao!

Not sure why you would stress the car in sub freezing weather like that. My cars don't get disturbed unless I'm going to take them on at least a 20 mile run. Unnecessary wear on the starter and battery just for your entertainment.
@delmontindustriesltd75018 жыл бұрын
While I agree that maybe this was a bit too cold to start the car, It is about the challenge of seeing if it will run. When this car was new, it was started in any and all weather. Just because it is 40 years old doesn't mean it should just sit in my opinion. Personally I would rather start a car, and let it warm up to operating temp(which is what I do. but edit most of that out.) then let it sit for 5 months out in the cold while the engine seals dry out. Unfortunately living in the city doesn't afford me the luxury of jumping on the 2 lane blacktop highway for a 20 mile trip. A 20 mile trip here takes an hour.

Delmont Industries LTD It's now an antique and deserves more respect.Put the battery on trickle charge and let the car sit until you are ready to drive it. This does more harm than good.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I feel that my cars need to be ran once in awhile in order to give them the respect they deserve. All 3 of these classics that I own have sat prior to my owning them. Only one out of the 3 was started every weekend after the owner stopped driving it, and that car is in the best mechanical shape out of all 3. (1967 Delmont) In all fairness, I usually do let them sit after winterizing and putting them into storage. This past winter was mild enough that they never were put into storage. (which I should never do. But budgets were tight.) I understand what you are saying, and thank you for being respectful.
