That’s not really true. Throughout history leaders would be involved in the conflict. Kings have died on the battlefield. The involvement of the Western Allies in WW2 was a response to aggressive nations invading weaker countries. I guess we could have done nothing. America’s involvement in wars or combat have almost always been to protect ourselves, our allies or to prevent the spread of ideologies that are incompatible with our own.

T.V at the time was nothing like the filth that it is today, many, many times while watching T.V. with my mom, I felt ashamed and uncomfortable when passionate kissing occur; that was just kissing! Being born in the 70’s and growing up in the 80’s...what we see now is definitely not what we were taught or shown back then. We didn’t see sex, hear profanity on TV, or too much violence on TV...violence were mostly from country western movies and kungfu movies lol. "If my people who are called by MY NAME will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sins and HEAL THEIR LAND. " In the context of that chapter, " heal their land" means the actual soil, which they had depleted. God focused on agriculture, injustice and their treatment of employees, especially foreigners. That book focuses on The Sabbath. The Sabbath was actually the foundation of their economy, health and relationships. They were supposed to give the land itself a Sabbath every 7 years. Of course, that gave them a Sabbatical.

An associate of mine told me he had a similar experience after he had 1) watched an end times movie and 2) taking a dose of LSD. It is almost axiomatic, that the better an idea is, the more harmful it can be in the hands of an uninformed mind. I used to be a very firm atheist. I scorned and belittled those with beliefs in anything I couldn't see. I one day saw that I held a hypocritical view based on very little evidence. I decided that the entire Christian religion was the bible, not the church. So, I read the KJV. It was the most miraculous book that I had ever read. His dad was a minister which probably explains this. You know, boys and their dads! But the book does not negate the bible in any way.
