The number was unique to the AMX brand. Since they would be limited produced, the idea was they would be numbered. That quickly got out of order. It is still highly desired to have that “number”. Alittle over 19000 2-seat AMXs were produced between 1968-70. I do know the first batch of numbers were reserved for executives and people like that. AMC sometimes could be inconsistent with some of their production history and facts sometimes are suspect, as in the AMX number on the dash, but man, do we love our AMX.

That's beautiful. A friend of mine had one of these, in the orange rust color. I believe he had the 390 as well. It was one fast little automobile. 👍👍

Hey javelin always loved those type of cars a friend of mine had the four-seater version and it ran out of gas on us one day and we had to push it to a gas station because that ends in used to drink gas like what

I take that dough all day and I have a correct one !!! Love you guys but this car looks good but has many incorrect pieces!! Mirrors wheels seats steering wheel tailpipes so what else am I missing .
