Buick stopped the torque callout with the "new" bigblock in 1967. A 1969 has a 360hp 430 cui engine, they got the 455 in 1970

I still have my 1969 Buick Riviera that i bought when i was younger. I loved driving it in the summer months into fall. But since it was a rear wheel drive car it sucked to drive in the winter. Maybe i just didn’t have the right tires, but over all it was a blast driving down the main drag with some of the other guys in their classic cars. A buddy of mine had a 1967 Buick Riviera and we would drive side by side down the street. It was quite the sight to see…

My second car was a 69 Riv GS with the 430. Mine was gold with a black vinyl top. I had the same shifter and interior, I wish I still had it. I wore her out...but everything worked when the engine blew after 300,000 miles.

That's a 430CI engine, they stopped marking engines with torque numbers in 1966 with the last of the Nailheads. The 455 came out in 1970 although swapping a 455 into a different year is pretty common.

They really need to FIX the things that are broken like the air conditioning and that drivers window! Too many mods for my taste.

I see a lot wrong with it. Not bad but the stripes do not do it for me. The absolute original engine decals were actual indented heavy foil and the 430-4 numbers were actual red not chrome. I have yet to see an actual correct reproduction of these engine decals.

I had a 1970,Gold,white interior and roof,I was 16,I pumped gas in the 70's after school,and this one customer had some disabilities and when he came in for gas I would check everything on it for him,and did not except his tips,,one day he comes and says he is selling a car and if i was interested,i said i dont have that kind of money yet to buy a car,he said COME anyway,well let me tell you i was glad i did,1970 Buick Riviera w/2500 miles on it,i said he should not have a problem selling such a beautiful car,he says THAT bc i always took care of him he wanted me to have it,I said again I dont have the money for this car,so he said how much YOU have,I said about 800 bucks,Boom,he GOES IT is yours,I come back with the cash and as im pulling out the garage he stops ME and says HERE handing me a hundred back,you will need this for gas,,,,,GAS WAS $1.10 IN MID SEVENTIES, WHAT A RIDE

These cars are so much value for money... Try to buy a Mopar product in this quality for this asking price... Remember that Buick is one step down from Cadillac... Owned a 1968 GS 400 4-speed convertible for over 15 years, Buicks are just so much better than its GM sisters...

...hideaways don't work, wheels suck, headliner sucks, and too much junk inside..!..oh ya electric windows on this always never work consistently. !
