I remember when these came out. Motor Trend did a road test with a Coupe deVille, Lincoln Continental 4dr , and a Imperial, and the review was 1,2 and 3 in the order I listed them. Nice quite car!

+John Texas I just remembered something , I think you might have remembered, they were all 2 dr hartops they tested in 1969. The IMperial 4dr ( rode in my friends Dads car many times, it was a 69 Imperial Lebaron) and it had lots of back seat room, you could actually sat back there with a driver, it must have had more room than the 2dr.

it was a long time ago, suprised you remember ,but I think you are right, 1 was a 4dr and both the Imp and Cad were Coupes so it had to be the LIncoln. I love those suicide door Lincolns , always wanted one!

In 1983 I was 18 years old and I bought my first Cadillac which was a 1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, I paid $375 for this car and it looked and ran as good as one could oh, I drove the car for many years my only regret was I got rid of it, and I have been sorry for it ever since oh, just driving the car you could tell it was very heavy if I'm not mistaken the car waiting those two 5,000 lb the 472 cubic inch engine packing 375 horsepower would burn the back tires off of it very powerful automobile, I remember one of Cadillacs slogans were when they advertise the Eldorado or the commercial it was Eldorado this and Eldorado that at the end of the commercial it said best of all it was a Cadillac, Cadillac was not just a car in its day it was indeed an automobile

Would it have been too much to ask for GM to color key the steering wheel to the interior color?
@thomasshort17844 жыл бұрын
@CH67guy1 For whatever reasons, ALL 1969 and 1970 Cadillac models used the black steering wheel regardless of interior color. That was not the case for the 1968 and earlier model years. However, when the restyled 1971 models were introduced, they resumed using color-keyed steering wheels and did so every year since. I hope that answers your question.

ugly dash designs on the 69-70 cadillacs .....so cheap and plastic...even steering wheel is ugly.....just these 2 years had ugly dashes....designers must have been asleep at the design table....very nice car otherwise....thanks for video
