I also like the 4-door. I have a 1973 sedan deville and 1993 Fleetwood Brougham. 🥰

Glad to see the turn signal indicators are back on the dash. ‘68’s were only on the fenders.

My first car was a nineteen sixty cadillac.. I was fourteen years old and paid thirty five dollars for it. . It ran and held 8 of my friendincomfortably. I was the only ninth grader driving to school in a Cadillac.. Those good times lasted for a couple months until mom found out.. Hiding a Cadillac is not long-term.!

Nick, it's good that you're wearing your lap belt but you really need to wear the shoulder belt also. Not only for the safety aspect but you get a better feeling of how the car drives and handles with both belts buckled.
@jeffreyschupbach58459 ай бұрын
Have you ever driven one of these? The shoulder belts are strapped to the roof. They are a pain in the ass to use. Besides Cadillacs didn't handle, they floated.
@bradparris999 ай бұрын
@@jeffreyschupbach5845Actually I have driven one, it was my uncle's. I had my grandfather's 1970 Buick Electra to drive when I turned 16 and was that rare kid that wore both the lap and shoulder belts. Yes, they were a pain to buckle up two separate buckles and the shoulder belt was fairly restrictive, but in a head on collision with a drunk driver, the belts, especially the shoulder belt probably saved my life. I walked away with only minor cuts and scratches and bruises from the belts. A lap belt alone will hold your waist and lower body in the seat and keep you from being ejected, but your head and chest are going to take the brunt of the steering wheel and dash. That is why I said he needed to wear both belts.

Is the car what was called a 60 special by model number? I love the four door hardtop w o a B pillar . Cruising road trip machine .

Not to criticize , but Cadillac and beast don't really go together in the same sentence. Looks like a solid #3 daily driver if it is for sale hopefully you get a good price. Nice to see a young person take an interest in cars like this. Instead of the usual Mustangs or Camaro's

Yes they do. Especially in terms of a 472 1969 Deville

Actually the 1969 and 1970 Cadillac Calais/DeVille/60 Special/Fleetwood Brougham have the SAME basic design...so TWO model years later when the body style changed (1971). Also, the actual description of this car is Hardtop Sedan DeVille because there was also a 4-Door Sedan DeVille that had a center post (colonnade-style) and more upright roof.

Please take your reddit method of talking about cars elsewhere. This isn't like 2000s subarus where nothing happens for years. The differences are actually very important. These cars look a certain way and even small changes make each model year and line distinct. If you can't appreciate this, you have no business getting involved with them.

First that is not a sedan DeVille. That's the Calais sedan the base model. And it's not a one-year-old only style the 1970 Cadillac was nearly identical
