The 1969 Camaro was a slightly different car than the 1967 Camaro with some small changes to the overall function and appearance of the 1969 Camaro. The !969 Camaro is a first-generation Camaro from Chevrolet. The 1968 Camaro is also known as the "hugger" from Chevrolet. Some of the changes in the 1969 Camaro included changing the brightwork in the interior to a brushed finish look to improve driver glare. Another change was the center console which was an option in 1969.
Additionally, the 1969 Camaro was available in both a hardtop and a convertible. Some additional treats the 1969 Camaro offered were changes to the grill to bring it a wider look, Integrated back up lights in the taillight assembly and a new way of ventilating - the Astro Ventilation. The 1969 Camaro turned heads with these refinements.
The 1969 Camaro SS package was dedicated to the fun Camaro crowd. It had a beefed-up suspension system and a 350-cubic-inich V8 engine. Also available for the 1969 Camaro SS was the bigger 396 V8 engine. The hood on the 1969 Camaro SS featured a raised simulated air intake on the hood and a front accent band around the grill. The 1968 Camaro SS also had the option of going with a houndstooth interior to give it a more refined muscle look. The production and sales numbers of the 1969 Camaro tell a good story about how popular this 1969 Camaro was.
This 1969 Camaro SS 427 is fully restored to almost original condition with some spectacular additions such as the Corvette L88 engine. The owner, Elliott pumped up the horsepower to 565. She definitely turns and burns the tires if you want. The exhaust tones are exactly what you would expect - AWESOME!
If you are in Kingman, you will sure see this 1969 Camaro cruising around town. At least for the time being. The owner has this for sale.
