1969 dodge coronet, 500

I remember seeing these cars on the road in the early to mid 70s in northeast Ohio. Most were seen with the rear quarter panels rusted away like a cancer. It would be nothing to see a muscle car in the 70s being driven to grocery stores in the winter as many were purchased as primary drivers. If only people knew back then what we know today. What a beautiful Dodge Coronet. My mom and dad had a 68 Coronet my dad bought brand new in 68. By 76 it was rusted out from 8 years of winter driving but it was our family car after he traded in his 58 Plymouth Sport Fury to buy the 68 Coronet.

My brother had a 1969 Dodge Coronet RT 440 4 speed. Same red color with black vinyl top and red interior. He bought it in 1971 and sold it 2 years later. To this day I haven’t seen that same color combo as he had.

Nice.. but why does a Coronet 500 have the side scoops? Isn't that superbee.. coronet should just have the 2 cuts on rear fenders.. right?

It was an option in 1969 for Super Bee, R/T, and 500

There was a standard dash and the optional rally dash ( 68- 70 B body).

383 was the shot !! Partner came back from Nam had one took it down to Atco drag way installed a six pack and had it camed up that's odd about the numbers seams like everybody I knew were running 4 speed's
