Absolutely beautiful. No body filler; completely redone from top to bottom--what a treasure. I would love to know what a work of art like this sells for.

That's so beautiful. I am currently working on a 1979 highboy. I can't decided on axles. I want the same look as yours just worried it won't make it to and from my property to my grandmother's, here in Alaska we got some crazy off roads that will snap Dana 60s. I was thinking Rockwell 2.5 ton and 54 tires, tube style lift like a monster truck with a 7.3 L turbo diesel. My grandmother lives 110 miles off the highway in swamp that literally has ruts bigger then most cars. I want the original look like yours but gonna have to go differently. I am currently 3 years into my project, not using any bondo, all steel. Interior is done and paint, frame is beefed up. Got two different engines I can decide on. A 351 Windsor bored out and turboed my brother built or the 7.3 all new. Building your dream truck with so many options available sure is hard to decide on. But amazing build, thanks for sharing

I have a '69 F250. Can you tell me if you had to change out the axle or did you find a disc brake kit that works with the OEM axle ?
@johnwright37102 жыл бұрын
Did you remove the VIN tag during paint? Those do not look like OEM rivets.

Question how was the titling done? I see the vin plate with cab/frame vin? I have a 77 2wd f150 buying a frame from a 77 f150 4x4 to put under my cab

Great looking truck. Did you source a new front D44 with existing disc set up or did you convert your drum D44 to disc brakes? I couldn't tell from the pics but do you have a closed knuckle D44?

Hey. Where did you find the vins on your frames?
@marcgombosi27154 жыл бұрын
Top of the frame rail, passenger side, just behind the shock tower, then again, on the top of the rail, under the cab, right side.

Nice work! I have a 69 F100 Ranger 4x4. The 390 wasn't available though in 69. They were 360s...
@marcgombosi27154 жыл бұрын
Correct. 360 was the only V-8 option, however, an original 360 can easily be transformed into a 390, simply by changing the crank and rods to that of a 390.

@@marcgombosi2715 I have an original 1969 F250 Crew Cab with Factory 390, discs,Air, power steering and short box they were available upon. Request. My truck was built in Canada,don't think that mattered though! Just Sayin.

I hope you put the 2wd one back together with the body parts you swapped off the hi-boy. I didn't see anything but surface rust. No visible evidence of potential undercarriage rot. Don't see front of cab sagging. There's enough reasonable priced aftermarket parts that it could be fully restored like new if you needed them. That would be a crying shame!!
