Pontiac Firebird Core supports HANG off the bottom of the subframe, Camaros sit on TOP of the subframe ( Camaros use the small hole to index the mounting busing)

Thanks for the detailed info. Are you going to make any more videos for these cars? I love the 70-73 Firebirds.

Will someone please tell me the measurements (LxW) of the oval adjustment hole the bushings index through? I had to rebuild my core support and it was too rusted out to be measured. Also if you know, how thick is the bushing that goes between the top of the support and the bottom of the frame. I have seen bushing kits that are wildly different (.5" to 1.5") and need to know the factory height for proper alignment. Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to figure out how to do the energy suspension mounts for this location. They only show how to do it for the Camaro.

Thank you for the video. Any chance you have the dimensions of the bushing with the 2 shims? I have bought 2 separate kits that claim they are factory correct replacement and they are short bushings without the locator nut. Just curious what the distance from the core support and frame horn. looks like about 1" in the video but want to confirm. thank you.

The distance down was originally 3 washers and around 9/16 I believe as a starting point for aligning the core, fenders.

Thanks! I replaced my factory bushings over fifteen years ago - I think those cage nuts broke on my original parts... I'm going back to stock, so this is really handy!!
